About the Role
This role involves performing clinical and clerical duties under the supervision of the physician/provider, anticipating provider needs, and ensuring efficient patient care. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, assisting with examinations, documenting patient information, and maintaining medical records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs clinical and clerical duties under supervision
- Anticipates and prepares for physician/provider duties
- Greets patients and escorts them to examination rooms
- Records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers treatments
- Provides patient education and communicates test results
- Maintains inventory and quality control of medical supplies
- Complies with legal and regulatory requirements
- Supports administrative tasks such as scheduling and communication
Qualification Requirements
- Medical Assistant Pathway: High school diploma or equivalent, accredited Medical Assisting program graduation, and current RMA, CMA, or CCMA certification
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Pathway: Graduation from an accredited LPN program, current Ohio LPN license, and BLS certification
Work Environment
The role involves direct patient care, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation. The work environment is usually moderate in noise level.
Employment Status and Schedule
- Full-Time (40 hours per week)
- Schedule: Five days per week, working 6:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., varying based on provider schedule
