About the role
The Sanford Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their team in delivering exceptional family medicine services. This position functions within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. The Medical Assistant (MA) will collect and communicate health status data, participate in patient care, and perform various duties under the direct supervision of a licensed health care professional.
Responsibilities
- Collects and communicates health status data from patients or caregivers to licensed health care professionals.
- Participates in the care of patients by providing contributing data to licensed health care professionals; and following through on the patient's plan of care under the direction of the provider.
- Communicates the provider's written instructions for care to the patient, or caregiver, by transmission of specifically defined information.
- Performs a variety of duties under the direct supervision of a person licensed to practice medicine, including but not limited to obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, observing and reporting patient's signs or symptoms, and performing point of care testing.
- Coordinates provider schedules across multiple locations and manages daily scheduling adjustments.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
- Maintenance of a valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
- North Dakota (ND) registration as an MAIII through the ND Board of Nursing (when applicable).
Skills
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Pay
$20.24 - $28.68 per hour, with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for eligible applicants!
Schedule
Full time, 8 Hours - Day Shifts, Monday - Friday, with weekly hours of 32.00.
