About the role
Medical Associates is seeking an CMA, LPN or RN to join their growing team in the ENT department at the East Campus.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with procedures
- Managing triage
- Providing direct patient care
- Collecting pertinent patient health care data
- Diagnostic testing, treatments, and reviewing medical records
- Confer with physician/mid level providers to ensure patient needs are met
- General office duties such as obtaining and updating patient demographic and insurance information, accepting payment and co pays, scheduling and coordinating appointments, and creating lab orders
- Collaborating with health care team according to plan of care
- Communicating effectively with patients, co-workers, and others
- Promoting patient wellness and providing patient education
- Documenting care provided, including interventions, medication, patient education, and assisting with the integrity of the medical record
- Facilitating reimbursement of services provided, including charge tickets, referrals, and insurance requirements
- Maintaining a safe, neat, organized, and supplied office environment
- Ensuring equipment is functioning safely and properly
- Performing cleaning and maintenance of equipment according to guidelines
- Providing input for devising systems to improve quality and efficiency of patient care and workflow
- Participating in required meetings
- Completing all other assigned projects and duties
Requirements
- Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
- Hard-working and self-motivated, conduct themselves professionally at all times
- Ability to take the lead and assist in managing the provider's practice
- No previous ENT experience required—training will be provided
- Pre/Post-Op experience preferred, but not required
- Schedule: Between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm, 72 hours in a two-week pay period, full benefits!
- Location: Medical Associates Clinic East Campus (1000 Langworthy Street)
Qualifications
- Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or certification at a business or trade school
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN)
- Valid LPN or RN licensure required
Skills
- Keyboarding skills and use of electronic equipment
- Use and operate a wide variety of diagnostic and medical equipment
- Use personal protection safety equipment including gloves, lab coats, gowns, goggles, and face masks/shields
