About the role
A leading national law firm is seeking a 3–6 year Associate to join its White Collar Defense & Internal Investigations practice in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated white collar matters, government investigations and complex commercial litigation for corporate and individual clients. The successful candidate will gain exposure to high-profile investigations involving alleged corporate misconduct, alongside complex litigation in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels.
Responsibilities
- Represent corporate and individual clients in white collar investigations and litigation
- Handle government and internal investigations involving alleged corporate misconduct
- Work on matters involving securities fraud, money laundering, corruption and related allegations
- Represent clients in connection with DOJ and SEC investigations
- Conduct legal research and draft substantive briefs, motions and other legal filings
- Assist with fact development, witness preparation and investigative strategy
- Handle complex commercial litigation matters
- Support matters in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels
Requirements
- 3–6 years of white collar and/or related commercial litigation experience
- Experience with government and internal investigations highly preferred
- Exposure to DOJ and/or SEC investigations is advantageous
- Exceptional academic credentials
- Superior research, writing and oral advocacy skills
- Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred
- Courtroom experience strongly preferred
- Active New York Bar admission
Compensation
Salary Range: $230,000 – $320,000 (DOE). Eligible attorneys may also receive incentive and/or profit-sharing bonuses.
