What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, retention, and growth targets
- Translate corporate and market strategies into actionable go-to-market plans
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and product expansion initiatives
- Monitor competitive, regulatory, and market dynamics affecting deregulated retail energy markets
- Lead, coach, and develop Sales Managers, senior sales executives, and indirect sales resources
- Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and incentive alignment
- Build scalable sales processes, strong pipeline discipline, and forecasting accuracy
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ethical sales practices
- Serve as company sponsor for key strategic and national C&I customer relationships
- Serve as company sponsor for key strategic and national broker partner relationships
- Lead or support negotiations for complex electricity, natural gas, renewable, and structured product agreements
- Serve as a point of contact for customer retention and long-term relationship value through consultative engagement
- Ensure seamless deal execution from origination through contract implementation
- Partner closely with pricing, analytics, operations, marketing, finance, and legal teams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all applicable jurisdictions
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and performance updates to executive leadership
- Support budgeting, sales planning, and long-range growth initiatives
- 10+ years of sales and leadership experience within deregulated energy markets
- Proven experience leading commercial or C&I sales teams with accountability for performance and outcomes
- Strong understanding of retail electricity and natural gas markets, including pricing and risk dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and executive-level customer relationships
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking with practical execution discipline
- Commercial acumen and financial literacy
- High integrity and customer-first mindset
- Comfort operating in dynamic, competitive, and regulated environments
- Ability to inspire, develop, and retain top sales talent

Pay
A competitive salary range of $155,300 - $248,700 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
