Description

The West Fargo Park District is seeking an experienced and organized Youth Flag Football Coordinator for their August-September season and/or November-February season. This role involves overseeing league play and practices for players in grades K-8, managing coaches, preparing equipment, communicating with the Supervisor, and ensuring smooth gameplay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • League Setup: Ensure all equipment is ready for practice and games.
  • Manage Coaches: Coordinate with coaches to provide practice and game guidance, ensuring effective and structured practices.
  • Game Oversight: Monitor games, ensure fair play, and maintain timely schedules.
  • Referee Supervision: Ensure preparedness and guidance before and after games.
  • Equipment Storage: Return equipment to storage after use and perform light cleanup of the play area.
  • Player Interaction: Engage with players during practices and games, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Football Experience: Background in playing and/or officiating football, with knowledge of High School standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage coaches and create structured practice/games.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage equipment and schedules effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with coaches, players, and parents.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

Supplemental Information

  • Work Schedule: This seasonal role requires availability on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:00 pm to 8:15 pm, August – September and/or November – February. Flexible session availability.
  • Ideal Candidate: A responsible and enthusiastic individual with a passion for football and youth development. You should have strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and experience in football.
