About the role
Join Bio-Techne, a company dedicated to enabling cutting-edge research in Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics. This role involves the sales of Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments, related systems, and consumables within the CT and Northwest MA territories.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets through consultative selling methods
- Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts
- Work closely with the full Commercial Team to coordinate approaches and promote Bio-Techne's solutions
- Field sales, visiting customers 75% of the time
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents in the Immunoassay Product Lines
- Use SalesForce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities
- Execute territory business plans, mapping key accounts and identifying business potential
- Ensure customers understand the value proposition, features, benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of relevant products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced) in a science-related field
- 5+ years of sales experience in the Life Science tools space and 2+ years in related markets
- Knowledge of standard scientific methods, techniques, reagents, and equipment relevant to Bio-Techne’s product line
- Understanding of customer workflows and applications in research, development, and production of pharmaceutical drugs and biologics
- High-value capital equipment sales experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Ability to map key accounts, identify business potential, and execute territory business plans
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, focusing on understanding buyer needs and delivering customer-centric solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving
Qualifications
- Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com
- Capable and interested in working independently
- Desire to succeed in a team environment
Skills

- Broad understanding of scientific techniques and research areas of interest (Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High-Value Capital Equipment)
- Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Proficiency in executing value-based sales techniques, including prospecting, building relationships, and presenting tailored solutions
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on understanding buyer needs and delivering customer-centric solutions

- Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time & territory management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving

Pay
$83,400.00 - $137,100.00

Field-based commercial sales role, visiting customers 75% of the time
