About the Role

As a Wellness Clinician-Licensed, you will join an evidence-based program and a dynamic team, refining your clinical and engagement skills while helping people progress on their unique recovery journeys. This position is the lead clinical role for the team, providing Initial Comprehensive Rehabilitation Needs Assessments, skill assessment, rehabilitation planning in conjunction with the team, and clinical supervision for team members. The Wellness Clinician ensures that clinical interventions are effective, stage-based, and tied directly to the individualized recovery goal plans of the people receiving services.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment using person-first language, respectful documentation, and person-centered planning.
• Lead team members to complete Comprehensive Rehabilitation Needs Assessments (CRNA) in collaboration with the team.
• Lead team members to complete, monitor, and update the individualized rehabilitation plan/Individual Recovery Plan (IRP) in collaboration with the team.
• Offer services appropriate to meet the needs of persons served as identified in the CRNA and included in each individual’s IRP.
• Perform therapeutic rehabilitative skill and resource development as outlined in the CSS Regulations.
• Perform crisis intervention as indicated.
• Coordinate and manage services in conjunction with the team.
• Oversee the use of Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), WRAP, advance directives, and other relevant health and wellness curricula to ensure overall wellness is a key focus in the individual’s recovery plan.
• Perform evidence-based practices appropriate for implementing community support services, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral and Educational Strategies, Trauma-Informed Care, Permanent Supportive Housing, IMR, IDDT, and Career Services.
• Provide mental health education, skill training, and supportive counseling in the home.
• Utilize a clinical skill-set to forge therapeutic relationships with diverse individuals through a trauma-informed and recovery-based lens.
• Ensure staff provide coordination of referrals and linkages to housing, mental health, substance abuse, medical, and various social service providers as needed.
• Appraise and assess individuals’ daily living skills, and teach needed skills in areas such as budgeting, cooking, laundry, cleaning, shopping, personal hygiene, community transportation, self-advocacy, and ways to maintain housing.
• Consult and refer to other services beyond the scope of CSS.
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to the team via individual and/or team supervision, and for crisis management.
• Seek out own supervision at least monthly from a supervisor.
• Monitor symptom assessment and management, medication monitoring, medication education, and side effects.
• Provide support to the team when serving individuals with acute psychiatric needs requiring rapid intervention.
• Offer technical assistance and education to team members regarding best clinical practices, utilizing best practices materials and strategies for individual and group interventions.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Provide clinical supervision for provisionally licensed Bridgeway employees toward full clinical licensure (if fully licensed with supervisor credential).
• Obtain supervisor credential if eligible and not already acquired.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, rehabilitation counseling, or other related behavioral health or counseling program.
• Practitioner of the healing arts licensed in New Jersey (LCSW or LPC). A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) may also qualify with a Master’s degree in a related field and one year of experience in a community behavioral health setting or certification as a psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with persons with mental health disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than one moving violation in the past twelve months.
• Vehicle required.

$70,000–$75,000
