Welfare & Student Finance Manager
About the role
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. The Welfare & Student Finance Manager (Advice & Guidance Lead) is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality, impartial welfare advice, guidance, and financial support services across the College. The postholder will ensure learners, particularly those who are vulnerable, care-experienced, estranged, or facing financial hardship, can access timely support that promotes participation, achievement, wellbeing, and progression. The postholder will lead the operational management of Welfare & Student Finance Teams within assigned centres, whilst contributing strategically to the development of welfare, financial support, and learner support services across the College.

About You
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Welfare & Student Finance Manager to lead the delivery of welfare advice, guidance and financial support services across the College. You will manage a team of Welfare Advisers, oversee support for vulnerable and care-experienced learners, and ensure learners can access the financial, practical and wellbeing support they need to succeed. Working closely with internal and external partners, you will play a key role in removing barriers to learning and improving learner outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience of managing student support services
- Supporting vulnerable learners
- Working collaboratively with external agencies
- Knowledge of bursary funding, learner support schemes and safeguarding practices within Further Education is desirable
