Job Description Job type: Full-time Location: Guam Church Office (Barrigada) Salary: Based on Church policies and procedures Deadline: September 30, 2026 (Candidates may be interviewed or hired prior to the deadline) Starting date: January 2027 (Negotiable) Responsibilities Assist priesthood leaders in implementing and maintaining welfare & self-reliance initiative within their stakes including consulting with and receiving direction from the stake presidents on welfare & self-reliance goals and objectives and needs. Provide training and support to stake welfare & self-reliance committees, train and evaluate self-reliance group facilitators, distribute materials, identify specific resource development needs, and build capability. Develop and cultivate relationships with community organizations, key contacts, and local resources to support welfare and self-reliance efforts and respond to stake needs within the assigned service area. Ensure that stakes have access to the resources being developed. Maintain subject matter expertise in all relevant market needs, trends and available church resources in their area. Develop, implement, and evaluate humanitarian projects in the assigned area under the direction of Area Humanitarian Specialist.Perform administrative responsibilities including preparing regular progress reports on key indicators, submitting expense reports, and completing other assigned administrative duties.Travel within the assigned area as required to support business and program needs. Qualifications Hold a current valid temple recommend (Required)11 years of any combination of related experience or progress towards or completion of a relevant university (post secondary) degree or an industry-recognized certificationAbility to build effective relationships with Church leaders, community partners, and external organizationsStrong communication, training, facilitation, and coaching skillsKnowledge of self-reliance principles and available Church and community resourcesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgmentFamiliarity with local laws and regulationsValid driver's license and ability to travel as neededYou do not have to meet all of the above criteria to apply About Us Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work.
