Welding Fabrication Shop Laborer

Location: Welding Shop – Anacortes, WA

About the role

Join our team as a Helper-Trainee-Laborer and support our welding shop's operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to grow into a welding career.

Responsibilities

• Set up tools and materials before welding begins
• Clean up work areas after welding is completed
• Sweep shop floors and maintain a safe, organized workspace
• Grind weld splatter and use a wire wheel to clean up welds
• Support welders and fabricators with general labor tasks
• Beveling steel plates to prepare for welding

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a fabrication or industrial setting is preferred
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work a consistent night shift schedule
• Must pass a fit-for-duty exam

Pay

$22.00-26.00/hour + 7.5% shift differential for night shift

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (night shift)
• Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (day shift)
