Fabrication Shop Welder

About the role

The position is available at Loenbro Southwest in Chandler, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications, and plan, lay-out, install and/or repair all types of pipe in accordance with those plans and specifications.
• FCAW / MGAW Structural Welding and Fitting experience.
• Experience with Flux Core Wire.
• Experience Welding Grade A36 - A572 Steel.
• Properly choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of welding principles experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Pass a Structural Welding test.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Welding experience in the Fabrication shop, construction, mining or related industry.
• Must have working knowledge of various welding codes and specifications.
• Must be familiar with properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.

Qualifications
