Job Responsibilities
- Teach a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations
- Utilize instructional technology
- Apply a variety of effective teaching methods
- Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction
- Follow all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program
- Participate in college functions as needed
- Apply teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience in the welding field
- An associate degree, or five years of experience along with relevant industry certifications
- Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes on plate, pipe, and structural steel
- In-depth knowledge of the welding trade
- The ability to effectively share this knowledge with others through instruction and training
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience, particularly at the community or technical college level or in secondary education settings
