Adjunct Instructor, Welding - (H)

About the role

Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities.

Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction and performs lab-related activities for a variety of processes within the welding program, including OFC, PAW, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and Pipe Welding processes.
• Affirms students' proficiency.
• Collaborates with the Program Director and college staff on classroom-related issues, including inventory, equipment, purchase orders, and daily operational tasks.

Requirements

• Specialized training and certifications in welding, including at a minimum one of the following:
• Associate degree or higher in welding technology or related discipline, and related industry experience.
• AWS or NCCER current or past certification, or related certification, and related industry experience.
• Welding industry training culminating in an industry-recognized credential and two or more years of related industry experience.
