About the Role
Teach Welding Technology courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies. Instruction may occur on any campus, via distance learning, and during days, nights, weekends, or a combination.
Responsibilities
- Develop, revise, and maintain course materials
- Recommend and design new programs
- Maintain office hours
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Engage in College and community activities, promoting the mission of the College
- Develop and implement retention strategies
- Assist in graduate placement
- Attend graduation ceremony
- Assist with student advising and registration
- Serve on College committees
- Promote institutional goals
- Assist with departmental administrative responsibilities
Requirements
- Certificate in Welding Technology from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of appropriate work experience
- Demonstrated expertise in welding, print reading, and pipe welding
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Associate degree in Welding Technology from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of appropriate work experience
- Demonstrated expertise in welding, print reading, and pipe welding
