Adjunct, Instructor Welding

About the Role

Teach Welding Technology courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies. Instruction may occur on any campus, via distance learning, and during days, nights, weekends, or a combination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain course materials
• Recommend and design new programs
• Maintain office hours
• Participate in professional development opportunities
• Engage in College and community activities, promoting the mission of the College
• Develop and implement retention strategies
• Assist in graduate placement
• Attend graduation ceremony
• Assist with student advising and registration
• Serve on College committees
• Promote institutional goals
• Assist with departmental administrative responsibilities

Requirements

• Certificate in Welding Technology from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years of appropriate work experience
• Demonstrated expertise in welding, print reading, and pipe welding

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Associate degree in Welding Technology from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years of appropriate work experience
• Demonstrated expertise in welding, print reading, and pipe welding
