About the role
This position reports to the Welding Supervisor and is responsible for fulfilling all assigned welding duties in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Pull and weld parts to print or specifications
- Label products correctly
- Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions
- Perform additional duties as assigned or logically inherent to the position
Requirements
- MIG welding experience preferred; semi-automatic MIG welding a plus
- One-year on-the-job experience or welding classes desired
- Pass JOST Welder Qualification Test
- Ability to work and communicate accurately and effectively as a team member
- Ability to gain knowledge of company products
- Comply with quality, environmental, safety, and company policies and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed 100% of the time in a production plant environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
