Welder I

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner while wearing the appropriate safety equipment and reporting any unsafe condition or act.
• Be responsible for their area of the Shop for housekeeping and organization and utilize cleanup time assigned at the end of each day to do so.
• Conduct themselves according to the Policies of the Company as provided in the Handbook including attendance, smoking, breaks, clean up, vacation, PTO, cell phones, etc.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years Mig, Stick and Arc welding experience
• Tig/Heliarc (Aluminum) Experience preferred
• Fabrication/Layout Experience
• Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings to form pieces/assembly
• Use of all presses, hand and power tools and read a tape measure
• Basic Math & Measurement aptitude
• Problem solving skills
• Able to up to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
• Criminal Background Check & Drug screen
• Diploma/GED
• Pre-employment Screening
• Able to perform repetitive tasks; high physical activity
• Able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand, reach, climb, twist and/or crawl
• Not afraid of heights
• Able to pass a weld test
• Good communication skills (read, write, speak, listen and understand work instructions)
