Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, has an opening for an experienced 2nd Shift Welder at our Kipp, KS facility.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.
Responsibilities
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
- Operate various welding robots
- Lift heavy parts throughout the shift
- Clean, repair, and examine welds as needed
- Conduct quality checks throughout the shift
- Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment
Skills
- Understand team concept and be a strong team player
- High standard for quality and detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime
- Working knowledge of MIG welding operations
- Open to Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change
