Welder (2nd Shift)

Direct-hire position with pay range of $20.00–$26.00/hour based on weld experience. 10% premium for second shift. $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days contingent on attendance.

Schedule

• Second shift: ~11:00 AM–9:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays

About the role

Under direct supervision, this position performs MIG, TIG, and braze welding of steel or aluminum chairs and parts according to work-order specifications. The role is flexible to meet production demands.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders on each cart of chairs
• Select the correct fixtures for the work order
• Weld chair parts according to work orders (materials include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or alloys using MIG, TIG, or braze welding)
• Complete one chair for each new order and perform a Buddy Check per company procedures
• Ensure each order is completed accurately and on time
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on weld equipment
• Perform basic ERP computer functions (clocking in/out, work-order maintenance)
• Keep work area neat and clean according to company standards
• Work safely and follow all company rules and procedures

Requirements

• Must pass an in-person weld performance test prior to joining the team
