Welder - 2nd Shift

About the role

Wenger Corporation is seeking a Welder | Metal Fabricator responsible to operate various metal forming equipment and MIG weld while working under limited supervision within assigned areas in a manner, which meets or exceeds established quality and quantity standards.

Responsibilities

• Work positively in group settings, valuing input from others and offering assistance when needed to ensure success
• Set up, adjust and operate with accuracy a variety of metal fabrication equipment including but not limited to: MIG welders, press brake, shear, and forming machine
• Determine materials required and follow sequence of tasks outlined on production orders
• Manufacture products using engineering drawings and blueprints to meet product specifications
• Complete a thorough inspection of parts
• Maintain equipment and environment to be clean and safe

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience with tape measure, calipers, and other measuring instruments
• Basic math, reading, writing, and oral communication skills within a team environment
• Problem solving, critical thinking, planning, prioritizing, and organizing abilities
• Ability to operate hand tools
• Light to moderate lifting

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical school welding certificate
• 6 months of MIG welding experience

Pay

Actual minimum and maximum may vary depending on location. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Schedule

Flexible options include three 11.5-hour shifts (Mon-Wed) and 5.5-hour shift (Thurs) with overtime Thursdays. And when the unexpected does arise, we'll work with you to help you be where, and when, you are needed most.
