About the role
Performs welding work to specifications, as part of the manufacturing process, including set-up of welding equipment and safety devices following production documentation.
Positions production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to print specifications.
Maintains equipment and materials essential to complete the operation.
Performs work promptly to ensure production schedules are met, ensuring that all work produced meets quality specifications.
Selects and moves production materials as required.
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Notifies team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

Requirements
- Welding certificate or equivalent experience, preferred.
- Ability to read and write, in order to follow written instructions and complete job-related paperwork.
- Two years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication facility and familiarity with metric blueprint dimensioning preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands of a construction role, including: Standing for extended periods. Lifting and moving heavy materials. Working in various weather conditions. Adhering closely to safety protocols.
Qualifications
