Responsibilities
- Follow Blueprints to create quality products.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise on the shop floor and confer with supervisors and production personnel to resolve problems, keeping projects moving forward for the best outcome.
- Prepare products to be welded by reading blueprints and utilizing fixturing.
- Ensure all equipment is in good repair, properly set up, and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use, including mandatory PPE.
- Identify and move all finished products to the proper location within the shop using a forklift, if trained.
- Operate manual wire feed welders and automatic welders while utilizing appropriate welding wire, heat, arc, speed, depth, and weld bead size.
- Perform inspections as required by standards.
Qualifications
- MIG welding experience required. Pulse welding experience preferred. Prior fabrication background preferred.
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs without assistance from various positions.
- Able to use cranes and hoists.
- Able to safely use hand, air, pneumatic, and power tools, and machinery.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
