Welder - 2nd Shift - Abilene
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Load fixtures and weld parts as required
- Safely use all tools necessary for the position
- Maintain inventory accuracy at all times
- Read blueprints and utilize AWS weld symbols as required for the position
- Consistently achieve quality welds while staying on production schedule
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required
- Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in a fast-paced environment
- Have a good understanding of team concepts and be a strong team player
- Able to read blueprints and recognize AWS weld symbols
- Able to safely use hand and power tools and welding equipment
- Capable of embracing a culture of Lean Manufacturing and willing to accept/implement change
- Able to follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required
Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a **2nd Shift Welder** for their facility in Abilene, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.
