Weld School - Stoughton

About the role

Stoughton Trailers offers a paid Weld School program at our Stoughton plant for individuals interested in becoming welders. This opportunity provides hands-on training in a high-demand skilled trade.

Training Program

• 2 weeks of classroom and weld lab training covering:
  • Basics of welding
  • Equipment and techniques
  • Weld machine settings
  • Blueprint reading
• Work with expert Weld Instructors to develop and refine welding skills
• Hands-on weld test at the end of the 2-week training period
• Paid $18.00/hour as a Welder in Training during the program
• Upon passing the test, assigned to an experienced welding mentor on the production floor for 3 weeks of hands-on training
• After 3 weeks, skills assessment by supervisor; if expectations are met, promotion to Welder with a pay increase to $22.00/hour

Requirements

• Perfect attendance during Weld School is mandatory
• Flexibility and willingness to work required shifts and schedules

Schedule

Weld School classes start every month.

Pay

• Welder in Training: $18.00/hour
• Welder (after promotion): $22.00/hour
