Weld Trainee
About the role
Lippert is announcing its Welder Trainee Program. The program is designed to train individuals to weld custom towing and truck accessories under the guidance of certified instructors. It is a paid training program that lasts for 6 weeks. Upon completion, participants will be promoted to a Welder 1 position and receive a pay increase.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Report to class on time.
- Report to class ready to learn.
- Wear appropriate attire for production floor (long pants, steel-toed boots or shoes, metatarsal guards).
- Listen and follow instructions.
- Ask questions.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
- No prior experience necessary, but prior manufacturing experience is beneficial.
- Basic computer skills are helpful.
- Ability to lift, bend, and twist throughout the workday; capable of lifting between 50 to 75 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 90 pounds occasionally.

Starting wage: $20.00 per hour
