Weld Lead, 1st Shift - Exmark

About the role

1st Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm

Pay: $26.46 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform and complete welding duties on a variety of outdoor power equipment.
• Assist supervisor with training new employees, including reading and interpreting Exmark blueprints, maintaining weld equipment and booths, and using jigs, weld fixtures, and welding methods.
• Conduct first-piece inspections at the beginning and midpoint of each shift.
• Assist welders with questions regarding weld equipment and periodically check for quality (e.g., splatter, porosity) as directed by the supervisor.
• Support team efforts to maintain workflow by helping wherever needed, including substituting for absent employees in a work cell or booth for a full shift if required.
• Assist and fill in for the supervisor as needed.
• Actively identify opportunities to improve methods, material flow, safety, and the work environment.
• Help in other areas or departments to keep the value stream moving when required.

Requirements

• Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Technical knowledge and ability to follow standard work and procedures.
• Experience using power tools is helpful.
