Responsibilities

• Perform clinical evaluations and prepare patients for examination
• Comply with necessary regulatory standards and licensure requirements mandated by Federal and State Agencies (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, and CPR certification)
• Answer multi-line phone system
• Consistently communicate with patients regarding wait times
• Provide direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Assist receptionist with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information
• Assist in lab procedures: CLIA-waived lab tests, draw blood, and collect and label specimens for send-out labs
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required paperwork related to patient visits
• Administer medication as ordered by the provider and within your licensure/certification
• Act with honesty and integrity in all business transactions, including employment applications/resumes, patient records, time records, and financial transactions
• Relay information in a positive manner
• Calm upset patients and present solutions to their problems
• Work efficiently in a team environment
