Weigher Grader - Seasonal

Responsibilities

• Weighing, grading, and testing of all grain received and shipped.
• Performing some clerical tasks and general housekeeping duties both inside and outside the office.
• Properly and accurately weighing and sampling all inbound and outbound grain and grain products.
• Aiding in the housekeeping of the grain handling area and other plant or office areas as directed.
• Calibrating and conducting cross-checks on grain testing and weighing equipment.
• Conducting toxin testing on inbound and outbound grain and shipping samples to appropriate labs.
• Operating and maintaining grain weighing equipment, software, and systems.
• Recording and reporting any errors or irregularities in documentation.
• Developing product knowledge and handling hazardous product properties.
• Maintaining awareness of and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Working in a team environment and maintaining good relationships with other plant personnel.
• Engaging in physical activities such as walking on catwalks, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, stooping, and shoveling product.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly controlled quality environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.
• Some mechanical background, including the ability to recognize signs of operation failure.
