About the role
Aspire Health and Community Services seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support their Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team. The CCS unit provides specialized care to adults in a 24-hour crisis stabilization setting, serving as a less restrictive and voluntary alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and documenting medication self-administration during clients' stay
- Monitoring client physical medical issues and arranging for acute medical care when needed
- Facilitating health and wellness groups and activities
- Delivering treatment interventions that are strength-based and solution-focused
- Encouraging consumer completion of risk management/safety plans and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP)
- Completing documentation per shift as assigned
- Participating in ongoing required training
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associates/or Bachelor’s degree)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
- Reliable and independent problem-solver with the ability to work with minimal supervision when necessary
- Capacity to provide support and quality care to improve the physical and mental health of individuals served
- One-year experience in an acute mental health and/or dual diagnosis setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with Recovery-oriented treatment for severe mental illness (preferred)
Benefits
- Shift differentials available: 7a – 11p (Sat & Sun only) = Base + $1.00
- 11p – 7a (ANY day of the week) = Base + $2.00
- 3-11pm (Monday through Friday) = Base + $1.00
Pay
Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position. Salary Range $31.25 - $36.06 USD
Schedule
Part time 16 hours/week, Saturday and Sunday 7 AM - 3 PM
Qualifications
- Experience in an acute mental health and/or dual diagnosis setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with Recovery-oriented treatment for severe mental illness (preferred)

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
