About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This part-time position requires working 12-hour day shifts every Saturday and Sunday, with the flexibility to add a 12-hour shift during the week to transition to a full-time role if desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
• Assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, monitor vital signs and symptoms, and administer medications as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies.
• Support patients through detoxification and withdrawal processes.
• Monitor and manage patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas.
• Previous experience working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation or substance abuse treatment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols and strategies.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

Schedule

Part-time: 12-hour day shifts every Saturday and Sunday. Option to add a 12-hour weekday shift to transition to full-time.
