LPN/RN Part time Weekends

About the role

Join our team as a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) and deliver nursing care to residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated community where long-lasting relationships with associates and residents flourish. This is a per diem position with availability needed for all shifts, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 1pm–9pm).

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and report to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response systems, knowing when to call for backup.

Requirements

• Current state license as an RN (or LPN) and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved RN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.
