About the role
Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for weekend home care services, providing direct patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care.
- Supporting transfer, repositioning, and ambulation activities.
- Providing basic nursing care and exercises under supervision from healthcare professionals.
- Preparing meals tailored to clients' preferences and dietary needs.
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities suited to individual interests.
- Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
- Using EVV systems to document tasks and ensuring punctuality and dependability.
- Respecting clients' privacy, confidentiality, and cultural values while promoting independence.
- Adhering to the care plan and never administering medications.
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and standing.
- Sympathetic attitude towards patient care.
