Weekend CNA - Part Time

Role Overview

The CNA provides direct in-home patient care, assisting with personal hygiene, transfers, mobility, and basic nursing tasks as directed by healthcare professionals. They support patient independence, offer companionship, and perform light housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized care including bathing, grooming, and mouth care
• Assist with repositioning, transfers, and ambulation
• Follow care plans and prescribed exercises
• Prepare meals considering special diets and patient preferences
• Maintain accurate records and report changes in patient condition
• Use EVV app and timesheets to document tasks
• Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and uphold patient rights
• Report any abuse, neglect, or unsafe living conditions immediately
• Perform light housekeeping and provide companionship

Qualifications & Skills

• Maintain current DFS certification
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting
• Sympathetic attitude toward patient care

The role requires travel within the designated area, flexibility in caseload, and adherence to safety and care protocols. The position involves physical demands and the ability to adapt to diverse patient and family environments.
