Website Redesign Technical Consultant

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an RFP for the redesign of the organization's website, ensuring that all requirements, including the integration of a new CRM and accounting package, are clearly outlined. The consultant must also consider various user personas such as members, donors, scholars, teachers, students, conference attendees, curious newcomers, journalists, and skeptics.

Responsibilities

• Develop an RFP that includes detailed requirements for website redesign and integration with a new CRM and accounting package.
• Ensure that the RFP is accessible and understandable to potential vendors, particularly regarding the integration of the new systems with existing payment and subscription services.
• Identify and address the technical challenges associated with the project, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation process for all bidders.
• Collaborate with the organization's stakeholders to gather and document all necessary requirements and specifications.

Requirements

• Experience in developing RFPs for web development projects.
• Knowledge of CRM and accounting software integrations.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience working with diverse user personas and their needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in web development and project management.
• Experience with website design and development tools.
• Understanding of user experience principles and how they apply to website design.

Skills
