Overview

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a cleaner, more professional, and user-friendly website that better reflects the quality, impact, and growth of YWLS while making it easier for supporters, volunteers, partners, and families to engage with our organization.

Responsibilities

  • An audit of our current site navigation and user flow.
  • A redesign of 4-5 key pages (e.g., Home, About, LBDN, Programs, and Donate).
  • Improving the visual hierarchy and calls-to-action to drive engagement.
  • Ensuring the layout is intuitive for our diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • Skilled volunteer to redesign 4-5 core pages of our Wix website.
  • Work directly with our leadership team for weekly check-ins and quick feedback.
  • Access to our current website, brand materials, organizational messaging, content, program information, photography, and examples of websites we admire.
  • Insight into our audiences and organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Wix website design and development.
  • Strong understanding of user experience and interface design.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
