Job Summary
As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for working directly with our clients or executing their readiness tasks, which can include installing all approved hardware and software with Outcomes, converting, merging, splitting, and validating data, setting up servers, registers, printers, scanners, workstations, and other peripheral items, performing operating system updates, data migrations, and assisting with special disaster recovery setups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients and IT to set up their server, registers, printers, scanners, workstations, and any additional peripheral items to ensure all hardware is in working order.
- Perform operating system updates, data migrations, data conversions, network configurations, Rx30 conversions, data restores, and assist with special disaster recovery setups, per client request.
- Absorb and resolve technical questions during the hardware installation process to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Assist on-site trainers prior to and during go-live on any issues that may arise or hardware that may still need to be setup and/or tested (new workstations, thermal printers, laser/thermal printer alignment, POS and robotics interfaces, etc.).
- Maintain and document all configurations related to each install within appropriate platforms (e.g., Zendesk).
- Work closely with project management team post-go-live for any remaining hardware needs for client go-live.
- Ability to set up additional licensing, vendor-related files, back-office setups, virtual servers, modules, and up-to-date pharmacy and point-of-sale builds.
- Ability to prevent, troubleshoot, and diagnose system and network issues that may occur during system setup.
- Ability to identify and assist with troubleshooting issues with internal programs and tools.
- Stay updated on newly released features and approved hardware within the Outcomes product solutions.
- Communicate with new and existing customers to determine details of their current data to ensure the data is converted meeting expectations.
- Coordinate with data conversion specialists and companies to correct any inaccuracies or inconsistencies in test data.
- Additional duties assigned by team manager to assist fellow teammates with outstanding projects.
- Work directly with clients to procure label samples and design custom labels to client specifications.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Windows & Linux OS
- Advanced skills, printers, and peripheral device installations
- Advanced networking skills (plus)
- Time management skills
- Knowledge of Outcomes product and hardware offerings
- Positive attitude and team-oriented
- Consistently meet expectations and deadlines without direct supervision
- Travel requirements: Domestic and/or International, up to >10%
- Education & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum years of work experience: 2 years
- Experience in Outcomes Support roles in Point of Sale or Hardware
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in hardware/network
- Background in Technology in working with pharmacies is helpful
- Minimum level of education or education/experience: Associates or equivalent work experience
