Webber - Third Party Claims Coordinator - Infrastructure Management

About the role

Initiates claims against individuals or companies and follows them through until full payment is received.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, audits, and maintains the documentation packet from Emergency Response Coordinators which outlines accidents that have damaged highway property, including:
    • Incident/Accident Report
    • Police Report
    • Statement of Charges
    • Pictures, if applicable
  • Initiates claims against offending parties.
  • Monitors and responds to ongoing questions or requests for additional information.
  • Makes arrangements for payment options with uninsured/underinsured parties.
  • Initiates small claims processes for unpaid claims.
  • Initiates bad debt write-offs.
  • Documents actions by accessing and entering data into Excel Access database.
  • Assists in providing monthly reports for Project Administrators.
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Positively contributes to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
  • Carries out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Completes work in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates innovation and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a high volume of work and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite Software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with leadership and staff across all functional areas of the business.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience; insurance industry experience preferred.

Work Conditions

Approximately 100% performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
