Job Description

Initiates claims against those individuals or companies and follows them through until full payment is received.

  • Receives audits and maintains the documentation packet from Emergency Response Coordinators which outlines accidents that have damaged highway property.
    • Incident/Accident Report
      • Pictures, if applicable
  • Maintains documentation and responds to ongoing questions or requests for additional information.
  • Documents actions by accessing and entering data into Excel Access database.
  • Affords assistance in providing monthly reports for Project Administrators.
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Contributes positively to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
  • Carries out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
  • Ensures safety by performing work in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED Required, 2 Years college preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience, Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrates innovation and creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a high volume of work and manage multiple projects
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite Software
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with leadership and staff across all functional areas of the business

Work Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
  • Must be able to work / on typical office equipment / technology (i.e. computer, phone, scanner/printer), including virtual connection technology such as webcams
