As a Web Engineer, you will lead the web development process and build products from inception to deployment. We also work closely with cross-functional teams like design, product management, and internal platforms to deliver high-impact features within multidisciplinary product teams. This individual will be helping solve challenges on a web first, high-performance and world-class trading product centered on the web. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY or Toronto, ON office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. What You'll Do
- Create high-quality, performant products that leverage technologies like React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS
- Own and drive features from inception and design to implementation and launch, being the web expert on your team
- Build and improve tools to support Robinhood's operations and platforms, providing leverage across the company
- Collaborate with design and product experts to rapidly iterate and ship financial products
- Build frameworks and abstractions to materially accelerate and empower other developers
What You Bring
- 2+ years of full-time professional experience with modern Web standards, technologies, and frameworks
- Skilled at writing and efficiently debugging JavaScript in Node and browser environments
- Obsessed with building a best-in-class developer experience
- Have a track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large scope technical projects at scale
- Constantly setting a high standard for code quality, advocating for best practices in testing, and improving code review processes
Pay
The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
- Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $166,000—$195,000 USD
- Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL): $147,000—$172,000 USD
- Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL): $130,000—$152,000 USD
This role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
