Web Engineer
About the role
Contracts are the oldest business technology in human history. They allow us to collaborate: they define what we promise each other, how we work together, and what happens when things go wrong. Ivo builds AI products that helps companies like Meta, Uber, IBM, Intel, DoorDash, Mitsubishi Electric, and Coinbase solve their most difficult contracting problems. We think that large language models have created an opportunity to fundamentally change how businesses collaborate with each other. At Ivo you will work on challenging problems with colleagues who have high standards for each other, move fast, and care deeply about their craft. You will own Ivo's website end to end: architecture, development, performance, experimentation, and the tracking and integration layer underneath it. You’ll work daily with marketing, design, and demand generation to turn the website into a system that ships fast, converts well, and measures everything.
Responsibilities
- This is a builder role. You’ll own the architecture, development, and maintenance of a high-traffic website.
- Lead a move from Webflow to a modern code-based stack, owning the migration and resulting architecture during the process.
- Build a landing page and publishing system that lets marketers create and ship pages at scale without engineering involvement.
- Build and run a component-level A/B testing and experimentation framework, integrated with our analytics stack.
- Architect server-side tracking pipelines across ad platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and Reddit, increasing tracking coverage and improving how we optimize spend.
- Develop API integrations and middleware connecting the website to HubSpot, Salesforce, analytics tools, and the Ivo product, including sign-up flows that pass user data cleanly from first touch into the app.
- Own site performance, core web vitals, and technical SEO, and maintain privacy compliance across consent management and tag governance.
- Build AI-driven web tooling and workflows, from AI-assisted editing and publishing to agentic automation in the development process.
- Develop interactive components and polished front-end experiences in partnership with design, holding a high bar for craft.
Requirements
- 5+ years building and running high-traffic marketing websites, with deep hands-on Next.js experience in production, plus strong TypeScript and React.
- Experience with headless or hybrid CMS platforms on top of a Next.js front end is important.
- A track record of measurable outcomes: site rework that lifted conversions, publishing systems that cut creation time, tracking work that improved ad efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with the marketing data layer: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, server-side tracking, and attribution.
- Experience integrating marketing automation platforms and CRMs, HubSpot especially, and building custom middleware where off-the-shelf connections fall short.
- Strong instincts for web performance and conversion, and the judgment to know when to build custom and when to buy.
- Experience using AI agents and tooling in your development workflow, and interest in pushing that further.
- Comfort owning a domain solo in a fast-moving environment: you set the technical direction, define the process, and ship.
