About the role
DCU Institute of Future Media, Democracy and Society is seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on the Jolt project, which is focused on providing verification assistance for new content.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on verification assistance and new content
- Contribute to the Jolt project's objectives
- Collaborate with the Institute's research team
- Produce academic publications and reports
- Participate in project meetings and dissemination activities
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., Media Studies, Communication, Political Science, Computer Science)
- Strong research skills and track record of publications
- Experience with digital media and/or verification technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- PhD completed or near completion
- Proven ability to conduct high-quality research
- Knowledge of media and democracy issues
- Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
