About the Role
Non-supervisory, commission-based position focused on selling new and used vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service and achieving DARCARS' sales objectives. You will engage with customers both in person and virtually, collaborating with Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, Finance Managers, and the General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.
- Greet customers with a welcoming attitude and listen to their needs.
- Describe operations and features of vehicles matching customer’s needs via in-person or virtual interactions.
- Follow DARCARS test drive procedures (obtaining correct identification, following test drive route, etc.).
- Suggest optional equipment, features, and warranties for customer purchase.
- Correctly compute and quote sales prices.
- Work with the finance team to obtain financing as needed.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for vehicle delivery and registration.
- Address all customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain solid knowledge of brands and products, including features, specifications, pricing, options, and standard equipment.
- Conduct effective demonstration rides on planned routes.
- Develop and maintain a future prospect and customer follow-up system.
- Participate in all required brand and DARCARS training.
- Utilize online digital retailing and video tools to assist customers virtually with the car-buying process.
- Develop personal income goals consistent with DARCARS standards and create a strategy to meet them.
- Comply with DARCARS policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with both customers and employees.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (Spanish and Chinese is a plus).
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Comfortable using video tools (e.g., FaceTime) to assist customers.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
- Previous sales experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform normal job functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable safe driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least eighteen years of age.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening (background check).
