WDW Engineering Interns, Spring 2027

About the Role

As an intern, you'll help inspire magic by enabling our teams to push the limits of entertainment and create the never-before-seen. This multidisciplinary internship spans January - June 2027, and candidates may be considered for teams including but not limited to: Quality Engineering, Worldwide Safety & Assurance, Engineering Services, Textile Engineering Services, Central Shops, Global Engineering & Technology, and Facility Asset Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and project support for new and existing attractions and facilities.
• Develop global design and safety standards.
• Design and supervise the fabrication and testing of enhancements and new designs for ride vehicles and systems.
• Provide software services for ride, show, and other process control systems being developed and installed in the Disney parks.
• Provide construction project management services and long-term facility planning for the Walt Disney World Resort.
• Deliver a wide variety of maintenance and repair services for the operating and support teams.
• Sustain assets and structures like buildings, rides, buses, and watercraft to ensure our property is always show-ready.

Requirements

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Availability to work various shifts based on project requirements.
• For Computer Science majors: experience with and knowledge of Java, Python, or C++.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree at an accredited 4-year college or university, majoring in an Engineering-related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Materials Engineering, Structural, Environmental, Low Voltage, Energy Management, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related).
• Junior, Senior, or Graduate student status by the internship start date.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding) as shown on a transcript.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.
• Compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
• Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work.

Eligibility

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, or currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants may only work for one consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Schedule

Fully available Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or holidays based on project needs. Work hours may include early mornings or late nights, though the bulk of work will occur during traditional 8 AM–5 PM. Up to 40 hours per week.

Pay

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $31 per hour for undergraduate students and $36 per hour for graduate students.
