Responsibilities

  • Assist project Engineers – Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical – in all phases of project work, including:
  • Drafting and on-site as-built documentation
  • Design coordination with outside design consultants
  • Field data collection
  • Light design and production work
  • Construction administration
  • Commissioning
  • Closeout documentation for projects ranging from minor rehabs to new facility construction

Requirements

  • Demonstrated strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with initiative; able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Availability to work various shifts based on project requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work under deadlines, on short notice, and support extended/off-hours when needed

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or Electrical Architecture
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding) as shown on a transcript
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants may only work for one consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior related work experience, including co-op/intern programs focused on architecture, engineering, energy systems, energy engineering, construction, low voltage, underground utilities, or distribution engineering
  • Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM (Building Information Modeling), SKM, ETAP, HVAC, Lighting Control Systems, Power System Analysis, Emergency Generators, Emergency Power, Solar, or Heat & Power Plants

Schedule

  • Fully available Monday through Friday with occasional weekends or holidays based on project need
  • Up to 40 hours per week; early mornings or late nights are possible, though most work will occur during traditional 8 AM–5 PM hours

Pay

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $31 per hour for undergraduate students and $36 per hour for graduate students.
