About the role

At Whiskey Cake, our servers are gregarious and extraverted, with an invigorating impact on people. Skillful with the emotional aspects of the guest experience, our best servers connect with their guests more than just the specific details of the menus and leverage this information to deliver hospitality efficiently & quickly.

Responsibilities

• Tell stories about local farmers, ideas, or concepts (farm to table, repurposing, locally sourcing, cooking techniques, craft cocktail techniques) to guests.
• Inform guests of our broad range of specialized products.
• Engage, stimulate, and communicate with guests in a manner that enhances the guest experience.
• Guide the guest experience towards specific goals using persuasion, not pressure, to craft a memorable guest visit.
• Think on their feet and adapt to the fast-paced environment of our restaurants.
• Show a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and competitive drive to get things done, working with and through people in the process.

Requirements

• 2 years of upscale service experience preferred.
• Craft cocktail & whiskey knowledge preferred.
• High volume experience preferred.
• A love for food and deep food knowledge preferred.
• A strange but understandable affinity for bacon.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
