Wax Finisher, 1st Shift

About the role

Under the supervision of the Production Area Lead, the Wax Finisher position is accountable for the final finishing of wax and wax/plastic patterns.

Responsibilities

• Removing flash
• Repairing defects and smooth blends
• Repairing defects in pattern assemblies without changing either the contour or the shape of the pattern by using wax as the filling material
• Dressing of pour cups
• Attaching finished pattern to tree and attach pour cup to pattern gating
• If performing gating work, assembly of plastic or wax cross arms and vent plugs
• Reporting by data entry of finished piece into computer inventory system
• Preparation of cores (if working on IGT patterns)
• Blue sealing if working on plastic/wax patterns

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution (Required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to effectively work AND communicate as part of a cell team

Requirements

• This position requires wearing PPE (personal protection equipment)
• Following all basic safety precautions will reduce risk of potential injury
• This position requires anywhere from light to moderate physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time, as well as some lifting
• While not exposed to hazardous materials, PPE is required
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)

Schedule

6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday

Pay

$20 /hr.
