Waukee, IA – Garden Center Sales Associate

About the role

The Ideal Sales Associate Candidate Will have high energy and a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic, have strong decision-making and leadership skills, be sales-driven, have previous experience working in a retail or service environment, be able to lift 50 pounds, be able to work variable hours/shifts, and have a valid driver's license. Horticulture knowledge or landscape experience is a plus, but we will train the right person. Previous management, sales and landscape design experience are a definite plus for full time positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding products and answering questions
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
• Stock shelves and restock merchandise
• Participate in store events and promotions
• Represent the company in a professional manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
