Job Summary
The Landscape Designer oversees all aspects of design work for new projects, managing site designs from initial onsite client meetings to creating 2D and 3D concept plans. They also work with local city code departments to ensure designs meet city codes for permitting and construction, perform onsite inspections, and assist with project materials.

Job Duties
- Create jobsite layout and designs for pools, patios, decks, pergolas, and landscaping
- Create 2D & 3D designs
- Create construction details for all aspects of the project
- Affiliate with site layout of new projects
- Perform on-site quality check meetings to ensure project is being built per plan
- Work directly with Foreman to address any questions or issues regarding design
- Affiliate onsite to help receive and inspect plant material and hardscape material
- Affiliate with assisting in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project
- Participate in recruitment activities by conducting secondary interviews with potential job candidates
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to delegate/complete work activities
- Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis
- Comply with all company policies and regulations
- Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company PPE standards
- Enforce and work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at shop/yard and on jobsites

Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticultor or equivalent experience
- Experience in the landscape/construction industry, including working experience in the designs of rock gardens, decks, fieldstone paths, stone garden walls, fences, ornamental ponds, fountains and waterfalls, retaining walls, and pools is a plus
- Capable of using DynaScape, AutoCAD, 3D Render Software
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Speak, read, and write English, Spanish speaking is a plus

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position. Employee will be working indoors/outdoors. The work day starts at the Third Space office. Hours will typically be 40 per week, Monday to Friday.
