Position Overview
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Watershed Representative to support the largest public energy provider in the U.S. This is a 12-month contract position focused on conducting environmental reviews for Section 26a permits on TVA reservoirs and assisting with land use contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Auxiliary with environmental reviews for Section 26a permit applications and land use requests;
- Process approvals in accordance with established procedures and guidelines;
- Assist with managing land use contracts;
- Evaluate shoreline management requests to ensure alignment with watershed improvement and cultural protection goals;
- Aid in developing, reviewing, and updating long-range, watershed-based strategies to protect and improve water resource quality;
- Build partnerships with diverse groups, agencies, and watershed coalitions, including supporting public meetings;
- Support the implementation of shoreline improvement, resource management, and recreational projects as outlined in performance plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Biology, Forestry, Ecology, Plant Sciences, or a related environmental discipline;
- Strong interest in environmental stewardship, water quality improvement, and land use management;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for working with cross-functional teams and public stakeholders.

About the Role
This is a training and developmental role where assignments will familiarize you with a broad range of watershed operations team functions. As you gain experience, your duties will expand to encompass greater responsibility across Resource Stewardship process areas.
