About the role
Watermark Baton Rouge, located in beautiful downtown Baton Rouge, is seeking a part-time Night Auditor to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Night Auditor will be responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing, organizing, and compiling management reports, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions.
Responsibilities
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented manner, maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with hotel standards.
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming when working.
- Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
- Take room and handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner, obtaining all necessary information.
- Comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
- Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
- Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported, including statistics, and input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions as required.
- Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events or deviations from policies or procedures.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency with Front Desk computer systems is preferred.
